Torchlight Services’ Covid Response Measures

Torchlight Services is closely monitoring developments related to COVID-19 in our community.

COVID Health and Safety Plan

Our COVID health and Safety Plan has adhered to all current public health and safety guidelines from our local health unit and the Ministry of Community and Social Services.  We have implemented screening, cleaning and onset of illness protocols and we have ensured that we have all necessary PPE well stocked.

Rapid Antigen Testing (July 5, 2021)

Torchlight Services is conducting rapid antigen testing for our participants and staff.

Rapid antigen testing for the COVID-19 virus is used to detect the presence of viral proteins from the nostrils and is only used for screening and surveillance purposes, not for diagnostic purposes.

Regular screening will help identify those who may be unknowingly carrying the virus.

Rapid Antigen Testing is performed using a nasal swab (approx. 2-2.5 cm) of both nostrils.

Results are processed in 15 minutes.

You will be informed within 1 hour if you choose not to wait.

Anyone who tests positive will be contacted immediately by the tester and Wellington Dufferin Public Health Unit will be informed.

You will be directed to self isolate at home and must arrange to have a PCR test within 24 hours to confirm the result.

Proof of Vaccination Requirements (Sept 22, 2021)

As of September 22, 2021 Torchlight Services requires Proof of Vaccination or your agreement to a Rapid Antigen Test (which we will provide) upon entry.
